Beirut Tour

Beirut, the capital city of Lebanon can’t be ignored or exclude from your “must see” and explore cities once your destination is around the middle east.
This huge city is full of diversities, opposites touristic sites, streets, people and historical monuments and landmarks, carry a variety of almost everything in one city, under the title Beirut.
Starting the full day tour with the religious sites, Beirut is full of churches, cathedrals and mosques. There are almost 4 cathedrals ,6 mosques and 19 churches. But the most touristic yet important sites are the AL Amin Mosque known as the Blue Mosque, located in the center of          Beirut down town, facing the Armenian Cathedral on the other side of the city. Not to forget the St.Georges Greek Orthodox cathedral and St.Georges Maronite Cathedral.
This way Beirut hold 2 of the majority religious population in one city and almost near each other. A visit to these religious places is a must, the blue mosque is absolutely beautiful, the huge cathedrals are marvelous in and out. They are all full of history and religious knowledge.
Head next to the next stop, Zaytounay Bay, the premium place for luxury yacht placed beautifully in the seaport, where tourists can enjoy a simple hang out, drink coffee, try traditional food or grab junk food. Tourists can discover the bay by foot, take a break and sit at the port to relax, enjoy the view or simply breath fresh air.
Not far away, you can find and explore the Martyr’s Square, also a war signature touristic site, a must visit place and a must know story. Long story short its named Sahat Al Burj in commemoration of the martyrs who were executed under the Ottoman rule.
Place de l’étoile, or Sahat Al Nejme locally known, is the home of the Lebanese parliament and related buildings, along with luxury boutiques, cafés and restaurants all around. When people say Place de l’étoile, that’s notably the four faced square huge Rolex clock dated back to the 1930’s.
Next, the Holiday Inn hotel, a historical landmark which was a war zone beginning in year 1975 in a months-long conflict known as the Battle of the Hotels. Over than 25,000 combatant fought for control of a group of towering luxury hotels including the Holiday Inn and Phoenicia Inter-Continental. The civil war has left the hotel ruined and untouched till now.
Next, (pigeon rock) known for Raouché, the enormous stones standing proud in the sea, which are the most popular pictures put on the Lebanese postal cards and touristic sites. The walk through the Raouché is pretty long all the way to the Cornish (around 5 km).
The seaside promenade is unforgettable especially in the early morning or at the sunset, where you can find the people at all ages, running, jogging or biking all the way to Zaytounay Bay or vice versa.
On the other side of the city, last but not least, you can find the National Museum, the most important among them all. It’s an archaeology museum. Inside the museum, tourists can find pieces, collections and antiquities that goes back from after the World War 1. Since 1942, the museum has opened his doors to tourists and antiques lovers, holding more than 100,000 pieces, the National Museum is currently the most important and rich museum in Lebanon.

Lebanon Tours & Travels
Downtown Beirut at night
Beirut is the capital and largest city in Lebanon with a population of over two million. Over-looking the Mediterranean Sea ,covered all around by the huge mountains, the city offers astonishing views and experiences. Beirut´s coast is diverse; rocky beaches, sandy shores, and cliffs side by side. The city enjoys a Mediterranean climate with hot and rain-free summers, pleasant fall and spring seasons, and cool, rainy winters.
Beirut´s history goes back more than 5,000 years. The culture of Beirut has evolved under the influence of many civilizations and peoples, including Phoenician, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, and Ottomans. This history of cosmopolitanism is a point of pride for the Lebanese.
After the destructive Lebanese civil war, between 1975 and 1990, Beirut has undergone major reconstruction. The once destroyed town center is thriving once again and is a hub of activity.
Its former reputation as a crossroads between three continents and a gateway to the East has been restored and modernized. The city is said to be the “Paris of the East”. Beirut has regained its status as a tourist, cultural, and intellectual center in the Middle East, as well as a center for commerce, fashion, and media.
