Tripoli is one of the most oldest cities of Lebanon. The city is famous for having the largest crusader Fortress in Lebanon, and has the largest amount of Mamluk architectural heritage on earth.
Tripoli is famous for its Mina shore and small boats, also for its divers Khan, enormous Citadel St Gilles and the beautiful mosques. Batroun is a coastal Lebanese city , situated between the Mediterranean shore and the eastern mountains. The ancient Phoenician sea wall was originally a natural structure composed of petrified sand dunes. It was reinforced gradually by the Phoenicians with rocks, and the wall as it stands today took its present shape in the first century BC. The Phoenicians used this wall as protection against sea storms and invaders. |
